There's nothing wrong with homosexuality

For my first post on this blog, I thought it would be good to address a fact that seems overlooked. You see, homosexuality gets so much hate that it's ridiculous. The fact of the matter is, it's ok to be gay. Homosexuality is just merely a way of life. Some people choose to follow it, others don't. However, the ones that don't seem to have some mindless hatred towards it because it's not their way of life. Maybe it's just the teenage population who just hates it to be cool, or the Bible-thumping Christian nutcases who just so happen to go to Westboro Baptist Church, which is notorious for its hate against the LGBT community as well as many other things. However, I'm saving that topic for another blog post.

Just as a reference, this is how most Christians see it, courtesy of Westboro Bigot Church.
This is exactly what I'm talking about.

Now before I talk in-depth about the Christians, I'm first going to talk about the teenage population. Most of the teenage population seems to feed off of this stuff. They always shun homosexuality for no reason whatsoever, other than the pathetic excuse of "because I can". The word "faggot" has found its way into the feeble mind of the world's youth, causing homophobia to grow rampant. Well, if you take a good look at your nearest dictionary, you'll see that the word "faggot" or "fag" means:

1. Bundles of sticks.

2. A meatball, a traditional culinary dish popular in the United Kingdom. Often served with gravy and mushy processed peas.

Now that I've gotten the teenage population out of the way, let's dive into the viewpoint of Christianity.

A lot of Christians seem to hate homosexuality because it's "a sin under God". Ok, but you say God loves everyone. Why would someone who loves everyone discriminate against one particular group of people? This belief is completely invalid and hypocritical.

I also hear the phrase "God created Adam and Eve, not Steve" a lot. Actually, if my calculations are correct, God created Adam, Eve, Steve, and Niamh. Eve was a bisexual woman. Her boyfriend was Adam and her girlfriend was Niamh. Adam was a heterosexual man and his girlfriend was Eve. Niamh was a homosexual woman whose girlfriend was Eve. Steve was an asexual man with, thus he was single.

Now I realize not all Christians believe this, but most of the ones I've encountered do. I realize that there are Christians who don't hate on homosexuality, and some even going to the extent of accepting it.

Now here's where I chime in. Homosexuality is just another way of life. It's not wrong for someone of one gender to love within his/her own gender. Everyone talks about there being one love, well this is the one love they're talking about. We're all on this Earth as one. Therefore, we should love each other as one.

So what do you think about homosexuality? Leave your response in the comments below.

  1. As Christians, we're suppose to hate the behavior not the person. Because, there's a difference between the two.

    1. We all have sin, God has forgiven us of all that sin on the cross. However, when a person gives their life to Christ, or when they surrender to him, they have to truly believe he died on the cross for our sins and believe they are a sinner; just like I'm a sinner. However, the person must also be willing to turn away from their sin and ask God in to their lives during prayer so that he may work through them, not by their own works, but by the works of Jesus Christ. So when a homosexual person wants to surrender to God and truly believe they are sinners and that Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins, then they must allow Jesus to work through them to change their way of thinking about homosexuality and to maybe change their minds on their homosexual ways. None of us as people will ever be perfect here on Earth, which is why we need a Savior (Jesus Christ), just like a homosexual person needs Jesus Christ, in order to turn from his or her ways, in order to serve and please God. Also, one of God's purposes is to have a man and a woman join together, not a man and a man, or a woman and a woman. So God does not hate that homosexual man or woman, but he hates their behavior, because it is a sin. God hates sin, not us, just sin.

    2. It kind of takes the free-spirited nature of humanity away when it's looked at with such strict guidelines.

    3. It's not strict though, the sinner, or us, just have to really believe that Jesus died for all of our sins on the cross and that we're sinners; with the desire of wanting God in our lives, so we can please and serve God, in order to become Christians. It's not just homosexual people who are sinners, it's all of us; it's me, you, and everyone else. The only one that goes without sin is God. He's the ultimate creator of the universe. Isn't that someone that sounds interesting? Doesn't that sound like a God that is worth serving?

    4. To be honest, I don't really serve a god. I prefer to live as a free spirit, to serve no one but myself and my friends, and in turn, serve me back. That's just how I see it. The "sins" are only those that are deemed morally wrong, like killing and stealing. These sins can be reversed by doing good things to outweigh the bad things. I also believe that the only one that goes without sin is the person who can show that they do what is right, and can lead by example. Besides, if God goes without sin, then why did he try to wipe his creation out by flooding the Earth? Sounds like a sin to me.

    5. There is no such thing as small sin or big sin, sin is sin, in God's eyes, a person is as guilty as a murderer just by stealing a candy-bar; for example. I know it doesn't sound right and it seems perversed, but it's the truth. Sins cannot be removed by good deeds, and our sins separate us from God. Just because a person shows what they do is right or supposedly "act like what they're doing is right", doesn't mean they are right. Sure people can lead good examples, but are they Godly examples? Are they examples of what Jesus would do, and not what the person would do by their sin nature, but rather a pleasing example of Christ's love? Also, our works do not get us to Heaven; it is by grace that you, I, or anyone else is saved. We are all created in the image of God, the only difference between us and him is that he is without sin. He is God, we are not. Speaking of the floods, God can do whatever he wants to, God does not sin, he never has and he never will. It sounds to me, like you think you know the reasons for what God does, none of us will know God entirely; although as Christians we know some of God's ways, we will never know everything about him I'm sure. We do not get the right to question God. I don't get the right, you don't get the right, and nobody else gets the right, even when we want to, we still don't get the right. Now, when it comes to your beliefs, no one is forcing you to become Christian, God gives all of us free will, I'm just trying to tell you the truth about things.
